Chef / Events Caterer for Premium Wine Tour Company

CONTRACT, Full & Part Time available (Weekends essential) | Kent & Sussex based

Vine + Country is made up of a close-knit group of friends on a mission to put the wines and gastronomy of Kent & Sussex on the map by inspiring, creating and delivering pleasure and happiness through our exclusive wine and dine tours, events, and pop-ups. We curate unique experiences in beautiful spaces that bring people together around a shared table of what connects us all, eating and drinking together.

We are a growing business and our brand-new kitchens and pop-up events spaces are ready and so the hunt is on to find the people who can help us bring them to life!


This truly unique opportunity has been created to help us work on some innovative catering experience projects with excellent scope for progression and development and we are looking to recruit experienced chefs to join our young, dynamic and passion driven team. The ideal candidate would be someone looking to spread their wings, who’s serious about their career in the food industry whilst being allowed the freedom to make the role their own.Work with us to design and create menus, help with organizing all items needed for delivery and meal preparation. Volunteering ideas for new seasonal products is encouraged.

-Ensure that all menu items meet the expectation of the customer through test runs and tastings.

-Assist with stock management and sourcing of ingredients needed for menus and events.

-Help to transport food, tables and other items needed to serve food during events.

-Maintain high standard of cleanliness, carrying out and delegating cleaning jobs whenever necessary.

-Performing daily kitchen checks, recording health and safety data.

-Managing daily kitchen roles of a small team.


A passion and knowledge for excellent local ingredients and wine is essential where provenance and story matters. The story telling is as much a part of the experience as the food and so candidates will benefit from experience or desire to develop their public speaking and customer interactions. Candidates must have initiative and the will to jump in and take the lead to perform tasks. We have a number of exciting catering projects and pop-ups planned for the year ahead and are seeking people keen to engage their creative side with new recipes, food arrangements and menus.Full time, variable work week, with minimum 2 days off per week.

-Willingness to work weekends is absolutely essential.

-Typical work day finishes around 3/4pm, bonus!

-Hours are more sociable than a lot of hospitality roles.

-You will be required at times to start early (7am) and work some late evenings for special events.

-High degree of flexibility is absolutely essential to the approach of the role.

-Willingness to travel to various places for events and private catering.

-Own transport is essential due to rural work, must be comfortable with country roads.

-Must be confident to work on their own and manage a service.


-Chef 2-3 years or bloody passionate home cooks

-Previous experience in catering or serving

-Good knowledge of HACCP and recent Level 2 food hygiene certificate.
